Life it's a lot like a show if you think about it.
Picture the day of when you were born like the moment when the courtains rise in a theatre. There you are, the star of the stage, the main atraction.
After that comes the learning stage of your character, the time you understand the basics and as time goes by you came along your own choices, the wrights and the wrongs, the good and the bad ... in other words, the simplisity of life.
Then its time to encounter the real world, the moment you begin to live without the flufly pilow that you had beneath you when the show started. You meet people, you make friendships (and some enemies, because it's part of the package), good moments, a "second family", you smile, you play, you learn the beauty of life and you just can't let go of it ...
Act after act you have a new adventure, a new challenge that you either love or hate, but it's live, you won't be able to rewind it and do it again. During the process (who knows) you found a different kind of atraction thay you just can't shake of.
But in life not all things are good moments and sunshine. That's the turning point in your life. Between cries, bad humors, moments when your brain doesn't want to cooperate and shuts down, irritacions, rainy days, moments when you said the wrong word at the wrong time ... at that moment you are growing up, thats one of the best lessons in the show. Don't be strong just because of the applause of the audience for your comeback, you have to do it for the character it self, the quest for bringing back hapiness.
But don't be fooled by the situation and think that you will gonna be alone and strong forever after the lessons ... the audience will always chase you. They will scream to lift you up (at least some of them), of course, but the other half will wait for a mistake, a moment when you can't step up and use it to criticize you, to make you fall.
The audience it's your target, because what you are will make them watch you, no matter what. Believe in the one who are behind you ... make believers of the ones who don't undestand your show.
By this stage you are probably thinking about the final act ... how can I finish and make a courtine call so magical like the show has? Well, that's the part that motivates the actor. You just have to realise that the show can't be over, and like "Queen", by all means "Show must go on!".
Nothing is a stop, it's just a act that ends in order to another be able to start.
